Paying for Permits or Licenses? Read This.
By Tokumbo Shobowale, Chief Business Operations Officer, City Hall, NYC
New online payments will help employees, business owners, and builders save time.  For the first time, fees for food protection classes, for hazardous material permits, for FDNY permit and inspection renewals, and for Department of Buildings permits at the NYC Development Hub can be paid from your home or office computer.
These new digital payments make existing digital services like the NYC Development Hub even faster than before.  The Hub accelerates plan review and approval for construction by enabling real-time digital review of the plans by multiple agencies, making the process three times faster than traditional in-person review.  And now the payment process will be just as easy.  This fast service can especially support businesses affected by Superstorm Sandy as they work to quickly rebuild damaged spaces.
These newly possible online payments are part of Mayor Bloomberg’s Business Customer Service Initiative, which aims to improve government from a business-centered perspective. To serve you best, please let us know how we can make government easier, clearer, and faster for you.
